OverallEats
What began as a class assignment became something much bigger.
In Fall 2024, I enrolled in COMSTRAT 310 Digital Content Promotion at Washington State University. The assignment asked groups of five to create an initiative and campaign. I chose to take it on alone.
I launched OverallEats, a healthy eating initiative that combined my interest in nutrition with my passion for social media and creative storytelling.
From day one, I handled everything myself. I developed recipes, wrote scripts, filmed, edited, published, and engaged with the community. For three months straight, I posted every single day. The goal was simple: learn quickly and build momentum.
After reaching 1,000 followers, I shifted my strategy. Instead of focusing on volume, I focused on quality and brand building. I invested in better lighting, upgraded my camera, and improved audio to elevate the OVERALL (I had to…) experience.
Today, OverallEats has grown to over 180,000 followers on Instagram and more than 200,000 across TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
Beyond audience growth, the brand has opened doors to partnerships with companies of all sizes. What started as a class project turned into a real platform with real traction.
OverallEats reflects how I approach work: take initiative, stay consistent, analyze what works, and continuously improve. See some of my favorite videos below!
