Skippio
Advertising/Marketing Intern
Working within a fast-paced startup in Dublin, I contributed to a range of marketing and brand-building initiatives that required both creativity and adaptability. In an environment where resources were limited and ideas moved quickly, I learned how to turn early-stage concepts into tangible outputs that supported growth.
My role spanned across campaign development, content strategy, and market research. I used AI tools to help shape campaign scripts, identify emerging social trends, and inform creative direction, allowing our team to move faster and make more informed decisions. I also supported the development of pitch decks, press materials, and website mockups, all aimed at strengthening how the brand communicated its value to both users and stakeholders.
Beyond execution, this experience sharpened my ability to think strategically about positioning. I worked closely with the team to explore new app features and align them with user needs, ensuring that product decisions and marketing efforts reinforced each other.
This experience taught me how to operate in ambiguity, contribute across multiple touchpoints, and approach marketing not just as content creation, but as a tool for shaping how a brand is understood and experienced.
See below for some of the graphics and pitch decks I created throughout my internship!
Operating in Ambiguity and Building from Zero
During my time at Skippio, I worked within a fast-paced startup environment where ideas moved quickly and structure was often undefined. This pushed me to become highly adaptable, learning how to take early-stage concepts and translate them into clear, compelling marketing outputs.
My role spanned campaign development, content strategy, and market research, allowing me to contribute across multiple stages of the marketing process. I leveraged AI tools to accelerate ideation, identify emerging social trends, and inform creative direction. This aimed to help the team move quickly while maintaining strategic intent.
Beyond execution, I developed a stronger understanding of brand positioning. I collaborated on pitch decks, press materials, and website mockups, all focused on communicating the product’s value in a way that resonated with both users and stakeholders. I also worked closely with product development, ensuring that marketing insights and user needs were reflected in how the platform evolved.
Working in an international startup environment further strengthened my ability to navigate different perspectives and adapt messaging for diverse audiences. This is an essential skill in agency settings where brands must connect across markets and cultures.
This experience reshaped how I approach marketing. Rather than viewing it solely as content creation, I began to see it as a strategic tool for shaping perception, guiding product direction, and driving meaningful engagement. This is now an approach I bring into every campaign and collaboration.
